Newgate makes senior appointments

Newgate Communications has appointed two new senior staff to join the firm’s growing Hong Kong business.

Kim Spear has joined as director and is responsible for building Newgate’s corporate, digital and business development functions.

Spear’s previous roles include head of corporate at Ketchum in Beijing, and over the past 15 years she has worked across multiple markets in Asia Pacific.

Her previous multinational client work includes large scale change management projects and clients have included Bank of America, Western Union, Bangkok Bank, Nokia Siemens Networks and McDonald’s Corp.

Meanwhile, Erin Tan has joined as senior consultant to focus on deals and transactions, corporate and internal communications.

She has an established track record in Asia’s key markets including over four years in Hong Kong where she worked at Finsbury in its investor and corporate communications team. She had also previously worked at Telstra on the Telstra/Pacnet integration project and worked for a regional agency in Singapore for two years.
