M1 targets the Chinese speaking audience

Telco M1 has now made the KyLinTV service available on iPads and Android mobile devices. KyLinTV, is a Chinese Internet TV service provider that delivers 46 live TV channels, including CCTV4 Asia, Dragon TV HD, ZTV International HD, CCTV Entertainment and Hunan TV HD.

It offers more than 5,000 hours of Chinese-language video-on-demand learning and children’s content, to Singapore audiences.

The service is specially designed to target “multi-generation Chinese families with children learning Chinese and English-speaking professionals keen to learn more about China”, M1 said in a statement to the press.

As a launch promotion, M1 customers can enjoy the service on MiBox as well as on their mobile devices at a trial offer price and they will also be able to pay for their KyLinTV subscription through their M1 bill, without the need for a credit card.

“We are excited to partner KyLinTV to extend its extensive selection of content to meet the needs of M1 mobile customers who want to enjoy the latest Chinese entertainment on their mobile devices, and we will continue to work with content owners to deliver products that bring value to our customers,” said P. Subramaniam, M1’s chief marketing officer.
