Candy brand Skittles has partnered up with BBDO Toronto for its latest video that was directed by Conor Byrne.
Fashioned as a mockumentary, titled "STRUCK by a Rainbow", the video follows a man who is entirely covered in Skittles after being struck by a formidable rainbow. As morbid and disturbing as the 3:36 minute clip may be (he drops Skittles everywhere!), it speaks of coping in times of adversity, which is a common theme that runs through the brand's campaign videos. In fact, as the video comes to a close, the man says: "I am a man made of Skittles and there's nothing wrong with that." As he exchanges a kiss with his wife, he adds: "Life is sweet, for me anyway. Who can say that everyday when they wake up?"
The video first debuted on Skittles' official YouTube page on 7 December and has garnered over 27,000 views thus far.
