Airbnb appoints global creative shop

After a recent global review for its creative business, Airbnb has appointed TBWA for its global creative duties.

According to Ad Age, Airbnb CMO Jonathan Mildenhall gave this statement: "We're delighted to be working with TBWAChiatDay, one of the truly great global agencies, at one of the most exciting points in our history.”

Also mentioned in the article, the pitch was led by TBWA/Chiat/Day Los Angeles, with contributions from TBWA/Paris and Lew'Lara/TBWA in Brazil and TBWA/London and TBWA/Singapore. Neither Airbnb nor TBWA has responded at the time of this article.

Airbnb has been investing in its marketing and branding, following its recent US$450million funding earlier this year, which valued the business at US$10 billion.

It also launched a new brand logo which got the internet talking. (Read also: LOOK What the Internet thinks Airbnb’s new logo looks like). Meanwhile, in Asia, it has been hiring aggressively, and has since appointed a marketing lead for the region in Matthias Schuecking, earlier in July this year.
