Sulit.com.ph and OLX.com has joined forces to consolidate both companies’ hold on the Philippine online classifieds market.
Effective immediately, OLX.com.ph is being redirected to Sulit.com.ph, bringing together the #1 and #3 online classifieds sites in the country.
In turn, Sulit becomes a member of the OLX Network owned by Naspers, an international media company based in Cape Town. OLX online classifieds is used in over 106 countries in 40 languages.
“By now it makes sense to combine our forces for the benefit of our users,” said Sulit co-founder and CEO, RJ David. “This makes things simpler, faster and easier for all Filipinos to sell their second-hand and used items – all they have to do is come to Sulit. You can list your item in minutes, and start hearing from buyers near you on the same day,” he adds.
OLX is no stranger to such partnerships. Back in 2009, OLX entered a similar tie-up with social network hi5 to capitalize on their steadily growing user base.
