The organisers behind the MH370 reward campaign are extending the campaign for another month until 8 August 2014.
The crowdfunding campaign known as The Reward MH370: The Search for the Truth was first launched on the platform Indiegogo.com in June in an attempt for families to come up with a reward for more information on the missing plane. The initial target for the campaign is US$5 million. To date only US$92,538 has been raised.
On the site, Ehan Hunt one of the main organizers of the group writes that the campaign was extended because“recent world events have conspired against” the campaign. Hence the campaign would be extended to “ensure [they] have every opportunity to raise the funds required to meet our objectives.”
“World Cup, Iraq, Israel to mention a few have come and taken the focus from MH370 and the plight of the families still waiting for news,” Hunt added.
