He will be replaced by FCB Shanghai's deputy ECD Alvin Lim, who joined the agency as ECD for the Beijing office, effective today.
Lim, 39, is a Singaporean having worked in the advertising industry for 14 years at WPP agencies including Ogilvy & Mather, OgilvyOne and JWT.
During his career, Lim has crafted award-winning campaigns for clients like Mondelez, Global Shangri-La, Prudential Asia Pacific, Rolex, IBM, HSBC, Nissin, ANA Airline, Hong Kong Jockey Club and Venetian Sands Macau.
Most recently, he was the deputy ECD for FCB Shanghai in 2013, where he played a creative leadership role for Live in Levi’s and Oreo work in Greater China.
"I can’t wait to work with our creative leaders to pump up the office’s creative profile and capability - working with them to create a desirable creative environment where world class ideas thrive and brave talents want to come," said Lim.
"Alvin brings a strong creative vision, extremely integrated thinking and amazing energy to this market. We are very optimistic about the future under Alvin's creative leadership, " commented Tor Myhren, president, Worldwide chief creative officer of Grey Group.
"I love Alvin's works and the way he leads the team to create great work that clients loved," added TH Peng, chairman & CEO, Greater China, Grey Group.
"He will make an already famous agency even more famous. I am thrilled he is joining Grey Beijing and be part of our Greater China management team."
