HONG KONG PR Awards 2014

Marketing is pleased to announce a newly launched awards program to recognise and celebrate the achievements of Hong Kong's dynamic public relations industry.

The PR Awards, to be held at The Mira Hong Kong on 21 November, will recognise the best home-grown and international PR firms and individuals who champion the Hong Kong industry.

A total of 35 categories have been created to recognise the scope of today's industry, from smaller independent firms, to mid-sized agencies as well as those connected to global holding groups.

A snapshot of the sectors the awards will cover include consumer and B2B PR, food and beverage, lifestyle, luxury, sports and corporate social responsibility.

Additionally, Gold trophies have been created to recognise rising talent, PR teams and individuals who champion the local industry.

"This is an awards program for the whole PR industry in Hong Kong," said Matt Eaton, editor of Marketing Hong Kong.

"We want to recognise agencies and brands from right across the spectrum, be they independent, in startup mode, or part of a global network."

Over the past decade, PR has evolved into an industry that sits at the centre of the business world. How companies communicate to shareholders, clients and customers has created a critical role for professional communicators and often sees PR firms at the heart of a corporate strategy.

Additionally the rise of brand journalism, content-led innovation and social media has allowed the industry to extend the reach of its services and create more value than ever before.

Across the 35 campaign categories, each presenting Gold, Silver and Bronze, we have handpicked a panel of senior client marketers and PR experts to examine all entries.

The brand and agency with the largest haul of awards will be crowned PR Awards Champion.

Full details about the judging panel will be revealed in coming weeks.

It’s time to celebrate the success of the public relations industry in Hong Kong. Are you game?
